The Mod Collective

The Mod Collective is made up of group of Artists who are passionate about using play to spark change.

We have a range of experiences & skills that feed into Mod’s Playful Activism practice.

Sometimes we work on Mod projects together, sometimes we support each other as individuals.

Our approach focuses on collective care.

Eliza Cass (they/them) is a writer, performer and producer based in London. They make work that invites audiences into playful and impactful encounters that help unsettle some of the harmful structures we find ourselves living inside and governed by. They've also produced projects with Mod and its artists, largely for schools and young people, championing playful activism as a way to bring young people together to create spaces and communities they feel excited to be a part of.

As a playful activist, Pav (he/him) makes experiences that facilitate encounters between strangers, hoping they might fall in love with one another and imagine better futures. He is a Cypriot South Londoner that cares a lot about community. He is motivated by bringing transparency and connectedness in his work and professional life. He believes in the power of third space, listening and grass roots organising as the basis for meaningful community arts practice. He also likes sounds stuff and tries to DJ whenever there is an opportunity.
